LEA VALLEY,LONDON HORSEBALL TOURNAMENT 
 
Newnham took their 1st Division Senior team to Lea Valley,London to compete in a week-end  horseball tournament .
 
The Chamly Horseball club,who are based north of Paris,were invited to bring two of their teams to compete at the week-end tournament.
 
The Chambly club,a riding school dedicated to horseball,have teams in every division of the French League and has been in the Top National clubs for the past 10 years.

The French A side contained two French players and French First Division and 2nd Division players and also Nottingham based Zoe Kerry,who has moved to France to learn more of the sport.
 
The Chambly B were their 3rd Division side which incorporated Englishman Joe Benham who has also moved to France to learn more of the sport.
 
Newnham 1st Division Senior team  were also able to count on their International players:-
 
Chris Radley         Men's Senior team Portugal 2008
 
Caz Maycock       Ladies team France 2007,Portugal 2008
 
Ashleigh Bailey   U16 Junior team France,2006,France 2007,Portugal 2008
Ashleigh in her first season with the senior team after graduating through from the 
cadets then the juniors, riding her new horse for seniors Fidget.
 
Beth Duce           U16 Junior team France 2009
Beth was playing her first game with the seniors.
 
Further international experience came from Nottingham based Rochelle Plumb,who joined the newnham team for the fixture.
 
In an entertaining tournament Charmbly A side came fist,with Chambly B team taking second place.
Newnham finished in fifth place behind Melton and London Extras,the hosts of the event .
 
The event was blessed with warm weather ,further entertainment came with a barbecue for all the players,family,friends and supporters.
