6 Jun 2009 - HORSEBALL ON THE BEACH AT WESTON-SUPER-MARE

Weston-Super-Mare played host to the teams that braved the unusual bad weather condition to complete in the two day Southern Regional Competition.
 
There was a very good turn out of local people to support the event. Many of them asking team members questions about the horseball.
 
There were 8 teams Senior 1st Division and Senior Novice which included teams from as far as London.

The usual vetting of horses took place each morning to confirm they were fit and well to take part.

Tack is always inspected by the referee before a match in insure the safety of horse and rider.

SENIOR 1ST DIVISION CAME 1ST.
 
Newnham 1st Division players will be saying good bye to their coach Vincent Coupet ,as he will be returning to France at the end of June with his family after being here in England for the past 4 years. Vincent also played his last match in England with his 1st Division team on the beach.
