Child Protection and Bullying
Newnham on Severn Horseball Club takes the safeguarding of its junior members very seriously.
Codes of conduct have been signed by all of our coaches who have also all attended safeguarding of children workshops.
The BHA Child Protection Policy to which we conform is attached below.
Bullying:
Bullying is against everything we stand for in horseball in our ethical, child protection policies and the rules of team spirit and sportsmanship covered in the BHA rules. We will have no hesitation in reporting cyber bullying to the relevant authorities as well as dealing with the individuals through the BHA and issuing an appropriate ban.
For any children who are subject to bullying whether on the internet or in person, please report this to an adult to deal with, preferably your parent. If you are un-able to do this then your coach will ALWAYS listen to you as will our child protection officer for the region is Ruth Sinfield ruth.sinfield@hotmail.co.uk
If you wish to remain anonymous you can contact the Child Line 0800 11 11 or www.childline.org.uk
Every individual in our association -child or adult has the right to live their lives without being bullied by others.
